All clothing must be freshly washed, ironed, on hangers, in season, and current styles only. Jeans and pants may be folded over wire hangers.
We cannot accept items with stains, tears, buttons missing, or soiled, so when you are doing your ironing, please sort those things out for your favorite charity.
If you are questioning whether to dry-clean an item before you bring it in, we suggest you have us look at it first before going to the expense of having it dry-cleaned, in case we do not accept the item.
Toys, accessories, and home decor must be clean and in excellent condition. Battery operated toys must have batteries and instructions with them. We are unable to consign car seats, breast pumps and any items that have been recalled. Click here for recall information. We do consider other baby equipment, however it must have been purchased new within the past five years, and have the identification number and manufacturers name on the item so we can verify for any recalls.
Remember, the better items look, the faster they will sell and the more money you will get for them.
It is advisable to call ahead to make sure we are accepting items. Occasionally, if we have a sale, or need to catch up processing accepted items, we might ask you to wait a few days before bringing in your things.
Normally items may be brought in to the store at any time during store hours for us to look at. Weekday lunch hour and Saturdays are popular times for shoppers, so you might experience a wait, since shoppers are always taken care of before clients. (they migjt be buying your things).
We look through client's items on a first come, first serve basis, with customers always pre-empting clients. A maximum of 2 dozen clothing items and 1 dozen miscellaneous (toys/home decor/etc.) per visit allow us to limit your waiting time.
On your first visit, you must bring in at least 10 acceptable items to open an account. At this time, we will review the store's agreement with you and answer any questions that you have. After your account has been established, you may stop in with more ites at your convenience, either 1 piece at a time, or a maximum of 24 hanging and 12 miscellaneous per day.
The store reserves the right to refuse any or all items because of style, condition, or supply and demand, and we will not be able to look at items that are not properly prepared.
All items are sold on a 50% consignment basis. The store will be responsible for setting all prices. As soon as your items are sold, your money will be set aside for you and you may stop in to the store, or call us to check your account at any time. Money for items sold will be paid out in cash any time during store hours.
If you follow these guidelines, we will be able to have a successful and profitable business partnership for both of us.
